Thats great, glad you liked the review. Zend can be quite daunting to navigate, overall it feels too heavy.

I'd tend to agree that some of the chapters don't quite flow as perhaps they could. The chapter on creating the custom module was however very useful as there's not much info out there on this topic. The Magento Wiki is okay but it again assumes quite a high level of knowledge of Zend. This book allowed me to get started with creating custom modules, so for that reason alone it was worth the purchase.
